The CSS Research Forum will be held on 13–14 April 2027. The event is jointly organised by Centria University of Applied Sciences, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SEAMK), and Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK).

Now held for the sixth time, the Research Forum aims to strengthen dialogue among researchers and teachers across the three strategic partner institutions and to catalyse new collaboration. We welcome researchers and experts from a wide range of fields to share their knowledge, discuss current topics, and explore opportunities for new collaboration.

An abstract may be based, for example, on a research paper, doctoral thesis or dissertation plan, research or development work, a project presentation, or a teaching case. Teaching cases are particularly welcome.

Abstracts are welcome under the following themes:

• Entrepreneurship and Business Development
• Food Value Chain
• Individual and Societal Well-being
• Industry Transformation
• Social Sustainability
• Energy Transition, Circular Economy, and Supply Security
• Research Methods, with the paper’s main emphasis on the use of diverse research methods
• Workshop: Presentation and Discussion of Doctoral Dissertation Plans

Writing and submitting your abstract

Write your abstract in 200–300 words.

Based on an accepted abstract, the author will submit a completed research paper for publication in the SAMK publication series in spring 2027. A separate template will be provided for writing the research papers. The template includes instructions for the document's formatting and structure.
