“Crossing Lines”, Exchange Students’ Exhibition presents works by six international exchange students from China, the United States, Portugal, Belgium and Turkey, created during their study period at Kankaanpää Fine Arts Campus.
The exhibition features sculpture, painting, installation, calligraphy, and mixed media works. The artists explore themes of personal experience, cultural identity, emotional memory, and everyday life through diverse materials and techniques. Sculptural works include bronze and plaster pieces produced through traditional casting methods. Painting and watercolor reflect introspective and emotional narratives, while installations combine felt, watercolor, and spatial elements. Traditional Chinese brush-and-ink calligraphy is presented alongside contemporary abstract painting and collage made from everyday materials such as receipts.
Together, the works offer a multifaceted perspective on personal growth, cultural exchange, and artistic experimentation within an international learning environment.
